Assignment

|
HA3- Sidekick
|
This assignment is designed to cover:
Unit 66's second and third learning outcomes:
Be able to devise 3D Models
Be able to create 3D Models
Using the skills I have developed in using Newtek
Lightwave's Modeller, I have five weeks to conceive, design and produce a
robotic sidekick that will need to be fully fleshed out in terms of
appearance, function and character. I will develop a design pack and then
realise this into a 3D prototype, managing the project carefully through each
stage of the production process. Having set up my schedule and production log
I will review them at least once a week. Task 3, 4 and 5 will be crucial in
demonstrating my ability to devise my 3D model and tasks 6 and 7 will allow
me to show that I can create 3D models following industry practise. My
evaluation for task 8 will be a good way of reflecting on how I have devised
and created my character concept.
Unit 13's fourth learning outcome:
Be able to use project management techniques
commonly used in the games industry
I will update my schedule and production log during
my study periods throughout the week and set myself new targets each time.
These will need to be realistic and achievable. With my evaluation, my
schedule and production log (and blog posts) will form the evidence of how I
have project managed the assignment. I should be able to work out whether or
not I achieved my goals and those of the client. This will help me to move on
into the next assignment.
